Kiddies Corner Nursery

Kiddies Corner Nursery in Darlington is set in a turn-of-the-century property which has been completely refurbished and extended to create a bright, cheerful and spacious nursery setting.

At Kiddies Corner we place a very high emphasis on providing a happy, relaxed and safe environment where play, fun and enjoyment go hand-in-hand with learning and discovery for the children in our care.

To enhance overall security and to promote and support the safety of the children in our care we have installed CCTV in all rooms linked to a central monitor in the Nursery Manager's office. The system complies with the latest requirements for Data Protection.

Kiddies Corner originally opened in February 2002, the nursery has been owned and operated by Matthew and Vanessa Lovejoy since October 2010. Kiddies Corner is registered with OFSTED for 83 children and is approved by the Local Authority to provide free early years education for 3&4 year olds and free childcare for 2 year olds.

We provide Nursery Care on a full or part-time basis for babies (0 to 2 years), toddlers (2 to 3 years) and pre-school children (3 to 5 years). Pre-school children can also attend on a sessional basis to receive the free early years entitlement either term time only or throughout the year. We also provide Out-of-School Care at the beginning and end of each working day, and also a Holiday Club.

A family-friendly Nursery:

We pride ourselves on being a family-friendly and flexible Nursery that will care for your child when you requre it. If you work shifts on a weekly or monthly basis, we will accommodate your changing work patterns. If you require an extra session we will be happy to help.

We have an "open door" policy for you to visit at any time to discuss your family's care requirements so that we can ensure that we provide the childcare that you need when you need it.

It is the objective of Kiddies Corner to provide the highest standards of care and education for all the children in our care.

We aim to provide a friendly, clean, comfortable and safe environment which the children will find stimulating and challenging, and where enjoyment and fun are linked with discovery and learning. Staff are sensitive and responsive to the individual needs of each child.

To meet the above needs we are committed to:

• Provide care for each child as an individual and plan for this.

OFSTED:

Our last inspection by OFSTED took place on 28 March 2014, and we were awarded  "good" rating.
